John William Mallon, 59, of Cheyenne died on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 following a massive stroke. John was born July 6, 1955 to John and Margaret Mallon. He was a Catholic.
He is survived by his wife of thirty five years, Billie Abbott Mallon. John is also survived by his two children, Jessica Kelly (Michael) and John Jacob Mallon; three granddaughters, Kendall and Rozlynd Moyte; Presslie Hughes-Mallon; brother Jim, all of Cheyenne and sister, Edna Pontillo, of Broomfield, Colorado. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Margaret.
John was a conductor for the Union Pacific Railroad for 40 years, but his passion was always hunting. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved all kinds of hunting and his dogs. He was a “bigger than life” figure to his friends and family, known for his quick wit, energetic storytelling, generous spirit, and great heart. John was an esophageal and throat cancer survivor.
A vigil for John will be Monday evening at 6PM at Weiderspahn-Radomsky Chapel. Funeral liturgy will be at 10:30 Tuesday morning at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
