Joe “Pete” Trujillo, 77, of Cheyenne, passed at Davis Hospice Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 29th, 1946, in Rock Springs, Wyoming to Patricio and Stella (Romero) Trujillo. After graduation he met Mary Frances Villalpando. The couple was married in 1965 in Cheyenne. Pete joined the Army before being stationed in Germany during the Vietnam war. When the couple moved back to Cheyenne they had a daughter, Linda. The family lived in Cheyenne where he worked for Little America for 8 years. In 1976, the couple purchased a business, Plush Cue Family Billiards.
Pete loved spending time with his family and friends, especially traveling and playing pool. He played pool on the Pro Billiards Tour. He will be remembered in Wyoming’s history as the pool champion with numerous tournament wins.
He is survived by his wife Mary Frances Trujillo, daughter, Linda Trujillo, Granddaughter, Aurie (Nate) Munter, great-grandchildren, Anjel and Nazanah Garcia; three siblings, Patrick Trujillo of New Jersey, Carmen Tune of Green River, Jenny Sanchez of Arizona and many nieces and nephews.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents and five siblings.
Following cremation, a rosary will be held at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel on Monday, February 26 at 5:30 pm and a Funeral Liturgy will be at Cathedral of St. Mary on Tuesday, February 27 at 11:00 am.
