Joe A. “Andy” Lucero, 76, of Cheyenne died Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.
He was born April 8, 1939 in Mora, New Mexico and had lived here most of his life.
Andy was an Executive Chef for Holdings Little America, from which he retired after many years. He was a member of the American Culinary Federation and the American Academy of Chefs as well as St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus.
Andy is survived by his wife, Juanita; daughter, Veronica Lucero and granddaughter, Ariana Gonzalez; step-children, Ray Quintana, Stephen Quintana, Teresa Martinez, Cathy Williamson, and Alice Curry; his adopted daughter, Betty Jo Young and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Amalia Lucero and a brother, Ernie Lucero.
Vigil for the deceased will be 1:00 p.m., Monday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with the Funeral Liturgy to follow at 2:00 p.m.
Cremation will take place following the service.
