Jim P. Spiker, 70, of Cheyenne, went to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 27, 2019.
He was born on August 13, 1948 in North Platte, Nebraska to Harlan and Virginia Spiker. Jim graduated from Cheyenne East High School in 1966. He then went to work for a Colorado newspaper as a journeyman printer. Other work included managing his parents’ restaurants, one in North Platte, and the Coffee Cup in Cheyenne. He was also employed by his brother, Jack, at Bedder Sleep in Cheyenne.
Jim was an artistic, loyal and funny man. He will be missed by his mother, Virginia Gale; sons, Greg (Julie) and Brian (Teresa); brother, Jack (Karen), grandchildren, Zachary and Zoe; and his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harlan Spiker; and stepfather, Al Gale.
Graveside services will be Monday, 4:00 p.m., at the Rugged Cross Chapel in Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
