In loving memory of our mother, Jilaine Marble, who passed away on December 17, with her daughters at her side. Jilaine was the devoted wife of George Marble and loving mother to Gregg Marble (Sheila), Wendy Fix (Tye), Chris Ehler (Brad), George Marble (Jennifer), Randy Marble (Shannon). She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She had 91 years full of life. She was born in 1932 in River Rouge, Michigan. She grew up in Ortonville, Michigan where she met and married her childhood sweetheart, George Marble. She was a homemaker and worked with George in real estate for United Farm Real Estate. They moved 4 of the children with them to Laramie in 1973. From there, she worked as a CNA at Bethesda Care Center, with George at Marble’s Appliance repair before finishing her career at Ivinson Memorial Hospital in the business office. After retirement they worked as caretakers of the Lincoln rest area, moved around to spend time with family in Tennessee and Laramie. Always on the move, their next adventure was in Medicine Bow where she was elected to the City Council, helped at the museum, and was involved with other community events.
After the death of her husband, she was cared for by family until her dementia advanced. At that point she entered Spring Wind Memory Care where she passed away under the loving care of the staff of Spring Wind and Hospice.
Our mother was a kind, caring and giving person who loved everyone she met. She always put the needs of her family before her own. Our mother was a source of inspiration to us all and will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched.
Growing up, Jilaine was always there for us, whether we needed help with homework, parenting or just a shoulder to cry on. Jilaine instilled in us the importance of family, hard work and doing what is right. Our mother was a true role model who we will always look up to.
Jilaine is preceded in death by her parents Wallace and Jenny Clark, Husband George Marble, son Alan Marble, grandson Steven Marble and brother Duane Porter. She is survived by her 5 children, 11 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great Great Grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and sister-in-law Carol Porter.
There will be a Celebration/Memorial of her life on January 13, 2024, at the Wyotech, 1767 Venture Dr. Laramie, WY at 2 in the afternoon.
