Jesse J. Ortega 84, of Cheyenne, WY, passed away on July 24th, 2019 in Cheyenne. He was born March 12, 1935 in Goshen County Wyoming. He married Helen Brown in Fort Collins, Colorado on March 27, 1954. Jesse retired from Cheyenne Light Fuel and Power in 1994 after 41 years. He was also a life member of the Elks Lodge #660. He is survived by his wife Helen Ortega, daughter; Ronda (Richard) Kolinske, step-granddaughters; Sukii Kolinske and Shonee (Paul) Lesh, step-grandsons; Garrett and Gavin Lesh, sisters in-law Barbara (Robert) West and their daughter Deb (Al) Laughlin, Judith Brown and her children, Russell and Penny Brown, Bobbie Knapp, and Brenda Templeton, and a nephew; Michael Schneider. Jesse is preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Louisa Ortega, daughter, Denise Ortega, Father and mother in-law, Floyd and Daisy Stockmyer, brother in-law Herschel Brown, Sister in law, Jeanette Schneider, and her son Mark Schneider, and a nephew, Robert Lee West. Funeral liturgy will be held at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel on Tuesday, July 30th, at 10AM. Interment will follow at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
