Jess Harold Cotton, Jr., 80, of Cheyenne, died on Friday, March 6, 2015 in Laramie.
Jess was born on June 7, 1934 in Cheyenne and had lived here until 1992, then moved to Arkansas, then returned to Cheyenne in 2012.
Jess served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a human resource officer and loan officer at First National Bank, worked for Fire District #2, owned the Emporium in Van Buren, Arkansas, and was the manager of the Ft. Smith-Van Buren Excursion Train. Jess was a lifetime member of First Congregational Church, Masonic Temple Rocky Mountain Lodge #40, past president and governor of Civitan, and enjoyed collectibles, bird watching, and fishing.
He is survived by two sons, Breck Cotton of Amarillo, Texas and Wayne Cotton (Jacee) of Cheyenne; a daughter, Candy Roybal (Rick) of Cheyenne; six grandchildren Ashlee Weyrauch (Glenn) of Arvada, Colorado, Aaron Roybal of Cheyenne, Erica Roybal of Laramie, Hayley Cotton of Amarillo, Texas, and Aspen and Willow Cotton, both of Cheyenne; and his cousins, Bill and Mary Gustin of Pearland, Texas and Mary and Bill Wagner of Bend, Oregon.
Jess was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Cotton; and his parents, Jess and Frances Cotton, Sr.
Visitation will be Tuesday, 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
Interment will be in Fort Smith National Cemetery, Fort Smith, Arkansas.
