Jeffrey R. Ellingson, 61, of Cheyenne, died Sunday, August 23, 2015 at his home.
He was born May 20, 1954 in Great Falls, Montana, a son to Ronald and Lois (Wilson) Ellingson. Jeff lived in many locations throughout the United States including Montana and California. He settled in Wyoming 15 years ago. He lived for the wide open spaces and spending time with friends and family. He loved the outdoors, and especially enjoyed fishing, hunting, and horseback riding.
He was a longtime member of the Elks Lodge. He was a past volunteer for District 8 fire department and a proud supporter and volunteer for Cheyenne Frontier Days.
Survivors include his fiancé Connie Diaz of Cheyenne; father, Ronald Ellingson of Billings, MT; a daughter, Jodi (Mathew) Blake and grandchildren Meagan, Molly, Mykayla, and Dylan, of Billings, MT; a brother, Donald (Julie) Ellingson of Billings; and three sisters, Deena (Richard) Topel of Billings; Debbie Mallard of Texas; Doreen (Richard) Nelson of SLC, Utah; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lois Ellingson; and a son, Eric Ellingson.
Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 2:00 p.m., at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel. A Celebration of Life and Sharing will follow at 4:30 at the Bunkhouse Bar and Grill.
