Jean “Jeanie” Johnson, 82, of Canyon Lake, Texas died peacefully in her sleep on September 23, 2019. Born on July 22, 1937 in Sioux City, Iowa, Jeanie married Harry Johnson on April 12, 1956 who preceded her in death, January 4, 2017. She survived by Vicki, Cheyenne, WY and Peggy, Canyon Lake, TX, and a granddaughter Samantha (husband Mauro) Uriegas, McAllen, TX and numerous nephews, nieces, greats and friends.
She worked at U.S. West and retired in 1995. During Jeanie’s career and retirement, she was a 50-year member of Eastern Star active in Wyoming and Texas; Daughters of the Nile Past Queen of Tamah Temple No.73 and was still active in Ruh Neb Temple No.64, Austin, TX. She was a life of member of both American Legion Post 6 and VFW Posts 1881 Auxiliaries, Moose and FOE, staying active in Texas.
