Jason Vincent Martinez, 40, of Cheyenne, died on Thursday, October 4, 2018.
He was born on June 28, 1978 in Cheyenne.
Jason was an engineer for the UPRR and lifetime member of the VFW Post 1881. He enjoyed playing pool and softball, Las Vegas and gambling, and was a diehard Denver Broncos fan.
He is survived by his wife, Sheila Martinez; children, Izabella Teniente, Aubriana and Alexis Martinez; parents, Vincent and Rose Martinez; sisters, Bernadette Herrera (David), Jessica Martinez (Anthony Pena), and Sasha Martinez (Manuel Fonseca); mother-in-law and father-in-law, Arlene and Carlos Trujillo; and his godchildren, Gabriel Martinez, Izaiah Valdez, Angel Herrera, David Herrera Jr., Izrael Pena, Izaak Martinez, Amerina Martinez, Meeah Martinez, Nikole Valdez, and JoVoni Hernandez; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents, Prisciliano and Ursulita Barela, and Jose V. and Florence Martinez.
Visitation will be Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
Vigil for the Deceased will be Monday, 6:30 p.m., at St. Mary’s Cathedral.
Funeral Liturgy will be Tuesday, 10:30 a.m., at St. Mary’s Cathedral.
Burial and military honors will follow in Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
