Born: October 10th, 1951 to Charles and Betty Anderson. Passing October 9th, 2023 in Jacksonville, Florida at home in peace. Janel is survived by her husband, Anthony Zumbo; children, son, Ryan Jenkins wife Nichole and their two children, Shaylin and Landin; daughter, Justine Jenkins and her three children, Taysia, Drayden, and Chaz; stepdaughter, Brigitte Randall and husband Brandon Randall; brothers, Mark Anderson and Todd Anderson; nieces, Ameron and Taryan and nephew, Adam.
In Janel’s youth, she enjoyed riding her horse around Cheyenne. Janel also participated in Stars of Tomorrow. Janel loved singing and dancing which she used for entertaining with Little Theater and performing on stage at the Cheyenne Melodrama. In 1970 Janel’s was crowned Royalty Miss Laramie County. Janel graduated from Cheyenne East High School May 27th, 1970.
In 1980 Janel gave birth to fraternal twins, one boy Ryan and daughter Justine. From the time they were born, Janel enjoyed taking her children camping and boating at the lakes to be with family and friends. She so enjoyed camping in her motor home with dear friends Bob and Beth Scharf to South Dakota, Eagle Rock, and Lake Oliver in Kimball, Nebraska. In the winter months, they would retreat to the family cabin in Centennial to enjoy snowmobiling and winter activities.
Janel was also a competitive pool player in VNEA leagues. Janel, along with brothers Mark and Todd owned Elite Cleaners until retiring. In retirement, Janel dreamed of warmer weather and in August 2022, her dream came true. Janel and Anthony along with her daughter and grandchildren moved to Jacksonville, Florida.
In her new home Janel enjoyed being outside on the patio listening to music and watching Justine and grandchildren playing in the pool. Janel loved the fact she could go outside in mid-December without the winds and snow of Wyoming. Janel will forever be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Janel was proceeded in death by her father, Charles Anderson and Mother, Betty Anderson.
Her Memorial Service will be at St Mark's Episcopal Church at 11:00 am on July 15th.
