Janel Johnson, 28, of Colorado Springs, Colorado died on September 1, 2019 in Colorado Springs.
She began her dash when she arrived on March 20, 1991 at the F. E. Warren AFB hospital.
Janel started school at Deming Elementary, staying there until fourth grade when she moved to Pioneer Park. She also attended McCormick Junior High and graduated from Central High School. After high school she spent a summer in California before returning to Cheyenne to attend LCCC to obtain her CNA license. She also received her Associates Degree in High School Education at LCCC. Janel found her calling working in the insurance industry. In May 2019, she moved to Colorado Springs to pursue a career with Progressive.
She is survived by her parents, Coleen Johnson (Brian Nielsen) and Eric Johnson (Kathy); brother, Gregory Johnson; half siblings, Heather George (Ryan), Dawn Jollif (Tony), and Daniel Sampeck; aunts, Michelle Ryan (Rob), Linda Prosser-Park, Shirley Ducharme (Greg); uncles, Michael Prosser (Heather) and Albert Johnson (Feb); grandmothers, Norma Prosser, Sally Johnson, and Cheryl Wilson; numerous cousins, nephews, nieces; and two great-nieces.
Memorial services will be Friday, 2:00 p.m., at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
