Jane Shanor Tatum, 56, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, died naturally of heart disease on Sunday, April 8th, 2018, in Cheyenne.
She was born on December 9th, 1961, in Beaumont, Texas.
Soon following Jane’s birth her father and mother, Dick (Richard Eugene) Shanor and Jean Ebenhahn Shanor, moved to Bellevue, Washington, soon to be followed by a move to Jackson, Wyoming.
Jane attended elementary school in Jackson and graduated from high school at The Lowell Whiteman School, Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
Following high school, Jane attended Brooks College in Long Beach, California and received a degree in fashion design and merchandising. While in Long Beach she met her future husband, Rick Tatum. After Jane’s graduation, they moved to Dayton, Wyoming and worked on the Horseshoe Ranch, where they married in 1985. Following their marriage, they moved to Naples, Florida, and had three children, Jeanette Tatum, Carly Tatum, and Sydney Tatum.
In 2001 Jane and her three daughters moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming. All three daughters graduated from Central High School in Cheyenne.
Jane was very friendly, an unfailing GOP supporter, and an animal lover. She was an outstanding skier, mountain climber, and beach worshipper.
She left behind her mother, Jean Ebenhahn Shanor, of Cheyenne, her brother, Dick (Richard Lee) Shanor (Sandy), of Cheyenne, her beloved daughters Jeanette Tatum of Cheyenne, Carly Tatum Currier (Erik) of Cheyenne, and Sydney Tatum of Laramie, her nephew Dicky (Richard Leon) Shanor (Marianne) of Cheyenne, her niece Caroline Shanor of Cheyenne, and great-nieces Miriam and Camille Shanor of Cheyenne. Her father predeceased her as well as her husband. Following her wishes, no services will be held.
