Jane Ornelas, 67, of Cheyenne, died on Monday, December 17, 2018 in Cheyenne.
She was born on May 25, 1951 in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
Jane was an LPN, beginning her career at DePaul Hospital, before working at Memorial Hospital in the emergency room, intensive care unit, and the pediatric department. She then went to work for Dr. John Carmen for over 20 years, followed by working for Dr. Howard Schneider and most recently at F.E. Warren Air Force Base. Jane was a proud, involved, loving grandmother. She was an avid reader, and was involved in the Cheyenne Umpires Association as a scorekeeper.
She is survived by her husband, M. Jon Ornelas of Cheyenne; children, Mathew Ornelas (Stephanie) of Spearfish, South Dakota, Mandi Alonso of Cheyenne, and Stacey Tompkins (Simon) of Macon, Georgia; her mother, Delores Sabel; siblings, Jim Sabel (Wanda), Joan Kissinger (Larry), Allan Sabel (Sharon), Mark Sabel (Val), Kay McCoy (Randy), Karen Gilsdorf (John), and Brian Sabel (Roberta); and eight grandchildren.
Vigil for the Deceased will be Friday, 6:00 p.m, at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
Funeral Liturgy will be Saturday, 10:00 a.m., at St. Mary’s Cathedral.
Interment will follow in Olivet Cemetery.
