James Russell Welch, 77, of Glenrock, died on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at the Davis Hospice Center.
He was born on June 30, 1938 in Midwest, Wyoming.
Jim served in the U.S. Navy and was an operator at Wycon Chemical. He was also a private contractor and could fix anything. Jim enjoyed tinkering in the garage, was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing. Mr. Welch was very organized and loved his lists.
He is survived by his daughter, Robin Austin (Andy) of Cheyenne; two sisters, Carol Welch of Arvada, Colorado and Barbara Pflieger (Rich) of Loveland, Colorado; two grandchildren, Abraham Maljian of Honolulu, Hawaii and Tamar Maljian of Los Angeles, California; and his former wife and close friend, Sherry Welch.
Jim was preceded in death by his son, Michael Welch.
Private family interment will take place in Lakeview Cemetery.
A Celebration of His Life will be September 12, 2015 at 2:00 p.m., at 3417 Capitol Avenue.
