James Tapia, 35, of Cheyenne, died on January 31, 2020 in Cheyenne.
He was born on April 28, 1984 in Cheyenne. He was a 2003 graduate of East High school and served in the US Navy. After serving, James lived in Seattle, WA, for 13 years. In that time, he formed his own production company which did photography and promotion in the Seattle music scene. He ventured home to spend the remainder of his life with his family in Cheyenne.
James is survived by his mother Rita Seifert, grandmother Helen Maestas and father Edwardo Tapia; his siblings, Helen Tapia (Bob Smetana), Kristy Schmidt (Jonathan) and Ronald Hoback; nnd numerous neices and nephews.
James was preceded in death by his grandfather, Bonnie Maestas; and nephew Benny Lopez.
Services will be Saturday, 2:00 p.m., at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel with a reception to immediately follow at The Gathering Place.
