James August Runyon

James August Runyon, 83, of Cheyenne, died on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 in Cheyenne.
He was born on May 20, 1932 in Cheyenne.
Jim served in the United States Marine Corps. He was an operator at Frontier Refinery, an auditor for the State of Wyoming, and a school bus driver for Laramie County School District #1. Jim was a member of the Elks Lodge, Masonic Lodge, and the American Legion. He loved watching football, fishing, and was a big University of Wyoming fan.
Mr. Runyon is survived by a son, Brad Runyon (Vicki) of Elizabeth, Colorado; two daughters, Stephanie Bennett of Florida, and Paige Harrison of Texas; a stepson, Howard Hays of Cheyenne; two stepdaughters, Terri and Sandy Hays, both of Cheyenne; two sisters-in-law, Betty Toohey and Carolyn Perrott, both of Arizona; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Runyon, whom he married on August 21, 1970; a sister, Carol Switzer; and his parents, Francis and Mable Runyon.
Private family services will be held.
Friends who wish may contribute to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
