James R. Morris, Sr., 78, of Cheyenne, died Sunday, December 13, 2015 at his home.
He was born January 9, 1937 in Torrington, Wyoming, a son to Hal E. and Betty Morris. Jim attended schools in both Torrington and Nebraska. He served his country in the United States Air Force. And, he moved to Cheyenne in 1974 where he was employed in the Communications Department with the Union Pacific Railroad until his retirement in 2001.
Jim was a longtime member of the Moose Lodge. His hobbies included hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his companion, Chris Jones of many years, Cheyenne; four sons, Michael Morris; Dave Morris, both of Cheyenne; Hal Morris of Casper, James R. Morris, Jr., of Cheyenne; three daughters, Andrea Morris of Rock Springs; Linda Sutton, of Cheyenne; and Camilla Morris of Cheyenne; thirteen (13) grandchildren and ten (10) great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Bryan Morris; and three sisters, Carol Frahm, Judy Ankins and Norma Jean Morris.
Arrangements are under the direction of Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel. Private family services are being planned.
