James H. "Jim" Johnson

James H. “Jim” Johnson, 63, of Cheyenne, died on Monday, June 8, 2015.
He was born on March 15, 1952 in Cheyenne and had lived here most of his life.
Jim was the owner of Harold F. Johnson Masonry. He was very involved in the community and was a past or current member of the following: Ascension Lutheran Church, Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce Board, Cheyenne Chamber Singers Board, Past Master of Acacia Lodge #11, Korein Shriners, Shrine Indians, Visit Cheyenne, Old West Museum Board, CFD Parade Chairman, CFD General Chairman, CFD Board of Directors, President of the CFD Scholarship Fund; Order of Quetzalcoatl, CFD Heels, Bricklayers Union, and the Cheyenne Country Club. Jim especially enjoyed everything outside including hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, his ranches, cattle and horses, and light of his life, his grandkids.
He is survived by his loving wife Tammy, whom he was married to for 31 years, 2 months, and 1 day; his three wonderful children, Tristan (Andrew Goosetree), Travis (Angela Lopez), and Jacob; two incredible grandchildren, Jenna and Logan Kramer; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He loved and adored his family so much.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Harold F. “Jarg” and Lois Johnson; and a sister, Judy Pixley (Larry).
Services will be Friday, 1:30 p.m., at the CFD Exhibition Hall.
Pallbearers will be Merle Ziegelman, Kevin Ziegelman, Don Jones, Rick Heimsoth, Tom Ludtke, Dale Von Krosigk; Tony Seidling, Jim Ward, and Buster Childers.
Honorary pallbearers are all CFD volunteers, past and current CFD chairman, Harold F. Johnson Masonry employees, and all his family and friends.
Friends who wish may contribute to the Shrine Hospital or the CFD Scholarship Fund.
