James “Jim” Edward Jordan, 67, of Cheyenne passed away Saturday, May 30, 2015 at his home.
He was born June 1, 1947 in Lusk to Ralph E. and Rozetta C. (Packard) Jordan.
Jim attended school through the eighth grade in Lusk and moved to Cheyenne in 1962, where he graduated from Central High School in 1966. He received his Associates Degree from Laramie County Community College.
Jim served in the United States Navy, retiring after twenty years as a Vietnam era veteran. He was employed with the State of Wyoming for 34 years, retiring in 2009 from the Department of Environmental Quality.
Jim is survived by one son, Tom (JoLyn) Jordan; brother, Warren (Trudy) Jordan; two grandchildren, Samantha and Ralph “RJ” Jordan, all of Cheyenne; three nieces, Tamra Jordan (Craig Maynard), Traci Valentine, and Tina (Scott) Bates; three great-nephews, five great-nieces; one great-great-nephew and his special friend Regina Wolf.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be Friday, June 12th at 9:00 a.m. at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel in Cheyenne followed by a viewing in Lusk at the Pier Funeral home from 2:00 p.m. to 3 p.m. with interment to follow at the Lusk Cemetery.
