James Lawrence Hackett, 90, passed away in Hillsdale, Wyoming on July 12, 2021. He was born on July 25, 1930 in Andover, New Hampshire. James served in the U.S. Air Force from 1947 to 1957, then retired from United Air Lines after 28 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, horseback riding, traveling, and was a volunteer on the Cheyenne Frontier Days Mounted Marshal Parades Committee.
James is survived by his wife Dyna Hackett; his children James Hackett of Montrose, Colorado, Jan (Lynn) Gabehart of Montrose, Colorado, and Mike Hackett of Castle Rock, Colorado; his stepchildren Michelle (Lynn McColl) Van Eperen of Hillsdale, Wyoming, and Lynn (Mark Castleman) Van Eperen of Westminster, Colorado; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Gertrude and John Hackett; his brothers John, Bill, Frank, Charlie, and David; his sisters Chris and Helen; and his son Tom Hackett.
