James “Buddy” Vopni, 64, of Cheyenne, passed away October 8, 2020 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. He was born in Tokyo, Japan on March 30, 1956 to James and Bernice (Weedon) Vopni.
James was about three months old when his mother brought him from Japan to Canada to visit family. He grew up in Kentucky, New York and Wyoming. Making Cheyenne his home. Buddy spent 3 years in the Army and most of that time was spent in Germany.
He enjoyed many things in life, one of those was his Harley. He loved getting his wind therapy. James also loved being with his mom and going to the Elks Lodge to spend time with her. And as a child at heart loved his looney tunes.
He is survived by his mother, many family members as well as longtime friends.
James is preceded by his father, brother, both sets of grandparents and a nephew, Jeremy Scot.
Cremation has taken place, and a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, at 2:00 p.m., at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
