Jackie Albert ‘Jack” Joy, 84, of Cheyenne, WY., was called home to our Lord on June 23, 2018. He was born August 3, 1933 in Torrington, WY to Earl and Frances Joy. He grew up on the family farm and graduated from Lyman High School in Nebraska. He married Stella May Ross in 1953. Jack served in the US Army from 1954-1956. After his return to civilian life, Jack worked in a variety of agriculture areas farming and ranching, to combine mechanic for many years. Jack and Stella were blessed with four children; Sandra Mikesell, Marilyn Lane, Russell, and Darla Joy. Jack enjoyed several hobbies, some of which included wood-working, word puzzles, and known by many children as a “Real Santa Clause”. Jack also enjoyed working in his church and spending time visiting with family. He is survived by his wife Stella, daughters Sandra Mikesell, Marilyn Lane, Darla Joy, and son, Russell; 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; brothers Darrell, David, Edwin, and sisters; Deloris and Edna. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Donald, Dale, Wesley, and 3 grandchildren. In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations to help with the funeral expenses. Services will be at 2pm Friday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 3312 Lincolnway. Interment with military honors will be at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
