Jack L Neufeld died on January 25, 2024, in Cheyenne, WY following a short illness. Jack was born and raised in Oregon where he still has several relatives. He was a Vietnam veteran and a passionate Nebraska Cornhuskers fan. He loved to fish, garden, read, and watch TV. Jack was known for his friendly demeanor and ability to make friends. He was a member of Meadowbrooke Church in Cheyenne at the time of his passing.
He is survived by his children Becky Hagerman of Ruther Glen, VA, Rosmarie (James) McMullen of Lamar, MO, and Rubin (Tracy) Neufeld of Cheyenne, WY; grandchildren Brittany Johnson of Montgomery, IL, Madelyn and Jacob Hagerman of Cheyenne, WY, Emily Hagerman of Kersey, CO, Camille, Bethany, Brand, and Sarah Hagerman of Ruther Glen, VA, Elizabeth (Lance) James of Bolivar, MO, Rebekah (Jared) Kinsey of Lamar, MO, Kathryn McMullen of El Cajon, CA, and Faith McMullen of Lamar, MO, Melodie Neufeld of Cheyenne, WY; great-grandchildren, Lili and Avery Johnson of Montgomery, IL, Michael Hagerman of Cheyenne, WY, Mae, Elora, Johanna, and Frederick Luebbert, Avinley and Ryozen James of Bolivar, MO, and Gotham and Irelia Kinsey of Lamar, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents Rubin John and Lula Eva Neufeld; stepmother Marie Neufeld, brother John Neufeld, sister Karen Hostetler, all of Oregon, and his beloved wife Janetlee (Kuffel) Neufeld with whom he had been married for 46 years.
He met Janetlee in Cheyenne, WY while stationed there. After his time in the Air Force, they went on to live in Nebraska, Missouri, and finally came full circle when moving back to Cheyenne. Jack had many jobs over the years, but his final and perhaps favorite job was being a caregiver to his wife Janetlee. He faithfully took care of her for many years before she passed eight years ago. They were constant companions and it was rare to see one without the other. Jack's faith was strong and in fact, he led Janet to believe in the Lord as well later in life. It is a comfort to know that he is no longer living alone but has been reunited with his beloved wife and his Lord. The family would like to thank you for all your thoughts and prayers.
