Jack D. Miller, 71, of Wheatland, died on Monday, July 28, 2014 in Wheatland.
He was born on October 2, 1942 in Wheatland.
Jack was a heavy equipment operator and farmer. He was a member of the Memorial Baptist Church in Wheatland, the Oddfellows and Moose Lodge, and the Platte County Trap Club and Platte County Search and Rescue.
He is survived by his wife, Ruanne (Wigley) Miller, whom he married on November 1, 1997; two daughters, Lori Bruegger of Douglas and Tammy Shown of Spearfish, South Dakota; a stepson, Joe Scott of Cheyenne; two stepdaughters, Ellen Kirkwood of England and Jerri Kavanaugh of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; two half-brothers, Dale Franzen, of Wheatland and Louis Franzen of Guernsey; a half-sister, Linda Evans of Wheatland; nine grandchildren; four step grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Jack was preceded in death by his mother, Alma (Miller) Franzen; his grandparents, Lou and Minnie Miller; and his uncles, Pete and Floyd Miller.
Services will be on Monday, August 11, 2014, 10:30 a.m., at the Memorial Baptist Church in Wheatland.
Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
