Jack Meena, 47, passed away at Davis Hospice Center on June 16th in Cheyenne. He was born to John and Edna (Furtado) Meena on December 9, 1968 at FE Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne. Jack graduated with a Masters in Civil Engineering from the University of Wyoming as well as a second Master of Civil Engineering from the University of Washington. He held the title of Professional Engineer for over two decades with States West/Wenck in Cheyenne, where he took pride in building several dams in the state of Wyoming, along with many other water projects. Jack was an active member of ASCE, Wyoming’s Professional Engineers, Tau Beta Pi, as well as Boy Scouts of America Troop 101. He was a giving and caring guy, who affected many others with his compassion and selflessness. Survivors include his mother; Edna Meena, four brothers; Jay, Jeff, Joel, and Jaymes, and his sister; Laurie Meena, and their spouses and children. Jack was preceded in death by his father John Meena. Vigil for the deceased will be held at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel on Tuesday June 21st at 6PM with a celebration of life to follow at Uncle Charlie’s at 6001 Yellowstone Rd in Cheyenne.
