Isabel E. “Liz” Jones, 83, of Cheyenne, died on March 22, 2020 in Cheyenne.
She was born on June 15, 1936 in Arroyo Seco, New Mexico.
Liz worked at the City of Cheyenne before working at Joslins Department Store where she retired. She did house cleaning for a short time later.
She enjoyed reading, cross word puzzles, and watching her western movies/shows on TV. She also enjoyed going to her favorite places like The American Legion, AmVets, and the VFW to see her friends.
Liz is survived by her children, Josie Sanchez-Pacheco (Anthony), Patricia Stanage (Michael (Bear), Alex Sanchez (Jennifer), William Sanchez Jr., Wayne Sanchez, Grandchildren, Amber Leyba, Christopher Leymore (Anthony), Arianna Sanchez (Seth Ganison) and Diego Sanchez; Great grandchildren Lawrence Abeyta, Quincy Ganison, and Katalaya Ganison. She is survived by Sisters, Pilar Varos, Sostena Fresquez, Brother John Sanchez (Clara) of Albuquerque NM, brother Vincent Sanchez of Montana; Sister-in-law Lucille Apodaca, Brother-in-law Leo Pacheco of Arroyo Seco NM and numerous nieces and nephews and former husband William Sanchez Sr.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Sister Prescilla Sanchez, niece, Louise Sanchez, Brother David Sanchez, Nephew Aaron Sanchez, Brother Mike Apodaca, sister Rose Pacheco and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral Liturgy will be Saturday, June 20. 2020 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Placement in the City Columbarium will follow the services.
