Irene Maese, 87, of Weld County, Colorado, died Friday, May 26, 2017 at Life Care Center, Cheyenne.
She was born May 6, 1930 in Greeley, Colorado a daughter to Clarence and Dorothy (Fox) Stephen. Irene was married to Patrick Maese on August 16, 1949 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Cheyenne. She worked as a dispatcher for the Union Pacific Railroad and also worked for the U.S. Postal Service.
In her younger years Irene enjoyed embroidering, riding horses, listening to music and family gatherings and Holidays.
Survivors include a son, Larry Maese of Amarillo, Texas; two daughters, Susan Huffmyer of Park City, Utah; Terrie Tenorio, from the ranch; a brother, Junior Stephen, also at the ranch; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Patrick on November 23, 2011; her parents; and two sisters, Mary Roberts and Shirley Ann Stephen.
Funeral Liturgy will be Monday, May 29th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Interment will be Tuesday, at 10:00 a.m. at Olivet Cemetery.
Viewing will be Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
