Hunter Lee “H.J.” Johnson, 19, of Cheyenne, died on Sunday, December 27, 2015 at the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.
He was born on March 12, 1996 in Cheyenne.
Hunter was an insulator at Moore Insulation and a certified plate welder.
He a recently reaffirmed his faith in the Lord with Tom Powers of Calvary Chapel. Hunter loved four things, his horse Oreo, his dog Fannie, his newly purchased welding truck, and Taco Bell. He earned his State FFA degree in 2014.
Hunter is survived by his parents, David and Brenda Johnson; brother, Brady; sisters, Rhianna and Sheridan; his grandparents, Larry and Jackie Johnson, Norma Erlemeier, and Fred Erlemeier; aunts and uncles, Reba and Terry McLane, Darryl and Patricia Johnson, Greg and Jeanie Erlemeier, Kathy and David Hanson, and Leo and Shari Erlemeier; his niece, Quinn; special friend Rachel Martin and many other close friends; and numerous cousins and extended family members.
Services will be Thursday, 10:30 a.m., at Calvary Chapel. Please dress “Hunter Style” by wearing jeans, boots, and hats.
Pallbearers are Cole Jackson, Hayden Petsch, Sam Sharpe, Tyler Morgan, Chris Tyner, and Tim Kinkade.
Honorary pallbearers are the Burns High School Class of 2014 and the Burns FFA Chapter.
Interment will be in Danbury, Iowa.
We didn’t get our Christmas miracle, but he helped so many families receive their miracles by being a beating heart donor. Hunter was a unique individual that impacted the lives of all that he had met.
