Hugh J. Ivester, 70, of Cheyenne, died on Friday, April 17, 2015 at the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.
He was born on March 24, 1945 in Heiskell, Tennessee and had lived here since 1965.
Mr. Ivester served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of St. Andrew’s Anglican Church. He was a past member of American Legion Post 6, Kiwanis, and the Moose Lodge.
He founded Ivester Enterprises in 1985 and owned and operated Futura Stone, Worldwide Refinishing, Concrete Solutions, and Kitchen Kreations. He enjoyed building things, square dancing, hunting, fishing, camping, and loved his grandchildren.
Hugh is survived by his wife, Judy Ivester, whom he married on March 11, 1967 in Cheyenne; three sons, John Ivester (Claudia) of Omaha, Nebraska, and Dave Ivester (Melissa) and Stan Ivester (Mira), both of Cheyenne; three brothers, Hank Ivester (Ruthelen) of Oklahoma, and Bob Ivester (Sandy) and Art Ivester (Geri), both of Florida; two sisters, Barsha Ruble (Lee) on Tennessee, and Mary Jo Roddy of Florida; a son-in-law, Bruce Arnold of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and his grandchildren, Hugh Ivester (Rebekah), Janice Ivester, Evan Ivester, Chelsea Ivester, Jordan Ivester, Andrew Arnold, Aitana Ivester, Ariellen Ivester, Levi Ivester, and Brock Ivester.
He was preceded by his parents and daughter, Michelle Arnold.
Services will be Wednesday, 2:00 p.m., at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church with Father Tim Davies officiating.
Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
