Herman Johnson Hedrick, Sr., 84, of Cheyenne, died on Monday, October 7, 2013 in Cheyenne.
He was born on October 24, 1928 in Hinton, West Virginia and had lived here for 67 years.
Mr. Hedrick served in the U.S. Army Air Corp/USAF during the Korean Conflict. He was a fire chief at FEWAFB. Upon discharge, he was a Master Sergeant and joined the WANG. He was a member of the American Legion, 320 Scottish Rite and Wyoming Consistory, and Beckley Masonic Lodge.
Mr. Hedrick was the owner of The Supply Sergeant.
He is survived by his wife, Zola (Thompson) Hedrick; two sons, Herman Johnson Hedrick, Jr. (Wanda) and Danny W. Hedrick (Cathie); a daughter, Helen A. Rojas (Frank); six grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Mr. Hedrick was preceded in death by a son, David R. Hedrick; a brother, Wesley M. Hedrick; a sister, Angelyn H. Dudley; and his parents, Wesley Cleveland Hedrick and Helen Angeline (Johnson) Hedrick.
Memorial services will be Thursday, June 26, 2014, at 3:30 p.m., at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel with Billy Minder officiating.
Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens under the direction of Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
