Henry August "Augie" Palmer, 60, of Cheyenne, died on May 9, 2024 in Cheyenne.
He was born on April 16, 1964, to Robert I. Palmer, Sr., and Orlee (Hanson) Palmer. He attended Cheyenne schools and graduated from East High School in 1982. He attended the Laramie County Community College, and the University of Wyoming with a degree in Accounting. He attended the Denver Seminary in the fall of 2002.
He worked as a mechanic and a manager for Palmer’s Auto Service. He was a car salesman at Halladay Motors, a merchandise picker at Sierra Trading Post, a staff accountant at B & W Glass, a marketing consultant for Ambit Energy, and a tax accountant for Palmers Accounting. He enjoyed woodworking, restoring furniture, remodeling homes for friends and family doing carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work. He served in ministry work with the Gideons International. He spoke at various churches throughout Wyoming. His passion was to share his Christianity with everyone to ensure they knew the Lord.
Augie was also a life member of VFW Post 11453. He served in the 1022nd Army Guard in Desert Storm and later transferred to the Air Guard, retiring after twenty-four years as a Master Sargent.
He is survived by his wife, Patty Palmer; his father, Robert I. Palmer, Sr.; his sister, Melanie (Al) Tibbitts; brother, Robert I. (Sandy) Palmer, Jr.; niece, Monica Ramirez, great nieces, Joelene and Natalee; great nephew, Coleton; great-great nephew, Eli; his mother-in-law, Susie Gonzalez; sisters-in-law, Sherry Hayner and Linda Evans; nieces, Dr Carina Hoffpauier and Heather Hayner; nephew, Richard Gonzalez; and great niece, Thalia.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Orlee Palmer, grandparents, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be Tuesday, 10-5, at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
His service will be held at Family Harvest Church on Wednesday, May 22nd at 10:00 a.m. with burial at the Cheyenne National Cemetery with military honors at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in honor of Augie’s mother, Orlee Palmer.
