Harry C. Underwood, 79, of Cheyenne, died on Friday, February 27, 2015 at the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.
He was born on August 5, 1935 in Cheyenne and had lived here all of his life.
Mr. Underwood retired as an engineer at the Wyoming Highway Department Environmental Services in 1995 after 38 years. He was a member of and very involved with Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Holy Trinity Men’s Association, Sertoma, was a swimming referee, and loved golfing, fishing, and hunting.
Harry is survived by his wife, H. Jeanette Underwood, whom he married on January 4, 1958 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church; four children, John Underwood (Amy) of Boise, Idaho, Stephen Underwood (Jo) of Cheyenne, Mary Ann Everett (Bob) of Cheyenne, and Patty Graves (John) of Loveland, Colorado; a sister, Loer V. Heling of Riverside, California; seven grandchildren, Ashley, Jacob, and Jeremy Underwood, Nathan Everett, Dalton and Emily Underwood, and Tristin Koback; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Underwood was preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Virginia Underwood; and two sisters, Adelle Kowalski and Mary Elen Clark.
Vigil for the Deceased will be Thursday, 7:00 p.m., at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Funeral Liturgy will be Friday, 11:00 a.m., at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Father Tom Cronkleton as the celebrant.
Interment will be in Olivet Cemetery.
