Harry Lee Johnson, MSGT USAF (Retired), 81, of Cheyenne, WY, born in Sioux City, IA, died at the VA Hospital, January 4, 2017 after a short battle with cancer. Harry is the last surviving son of George Albert and Coila (Crane) Johnson, born January 23, 1935.
Harry served in the Air Forces for 21 years. He married Jean Wensel on April 12, 1956, celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary in 2016. After retiring from the Air Force, Harry joined the Civil Service, working Supply at Warren AFB.
He was a member of Masonic Lodge #11, Korein Shrine, Past Commander of the Shrine Legion of Honor and American Legion Post #6, Cheyenne Consistory #1, VFW 1881, Moose #257, Order of Eastern Star Past Patron of Oakleaf #6, and a member of the Cowboy Joe Club.
A Rose Croix service will be held at the Masonic Temple, 1820 Capitol Ave, Saturday at 11:00 a.m., with reception to follow.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Vicki and Peggy Johnson of Cheyenne; and one adopted granddaughter, Samantha Uriegas from McAllen, TX.
