Harold Ezekiel Brown, age 100, passed away peacefully at Kimball County Manor on November 23, 2016, Kimball, Nebraska. Harold was born in Paxton, Illinois on December 21, 1915 to Clarence and Leona Brown.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Erma; granddaughter, Robyn; his parents and brother, Merle. Harold is survived by daughter, Sharon (Robert) Rairigh of Gering, Nebraska; son, Terry (Ann) Brown of Hawaii; daughter, Charlene (Phil) Severson of Cheyenne; and son, Ted (Kathy) Brown of Littleton, Colorado; 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.
Harold and Erma were united in marriage March 20, 1940 at David City, Nebraska. They were married for 72 years. They had a small ranch north of Broken Bow, Nebraska until 1954 when they moved to Cheyenne. Together with their family, they owned and operated the Twin Chimney Motel and Dairy Twist for over 50 years. Harold also operated Brown Motor Sales for over 40 years, a small used car business he established adjacent to the Twin Chimney Motel.
Many loving family members and kind caregivers helped Harold to remain in his home until October of this year for which he was truly grateful. Over 100 people celebrated with Dad, Granddad, Harold on his 100th birthday in December, 2015.
Services will be Saturday, 2:00 p.m., at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
