Gordon Arlo Campbell, 85, of Cheyenne, Wyoming and Steamboat Springs, Colorado passed away August 12, 2014.
Born March 10, 1929 in Riverbend, Colorado, and raised on his parents’ homestead west of Limon he became an electrician and worked around eastern CO. He eventually moved to Steamboat Springs to raise his family and grow his business. His work there led to traveling the world with projects as far away as China and India.
In 2006 he moved to Cheyenne to renovate the Asher Wyoming Building, completing it shortly before becoming ill.
A private pilot and a woodworker, he enjoyed collecting cloisonné. He was a lifetime member of the Lions Club, serving as President of the Steamboat Springs Club for several years.
He is survived by sons, Ronald Campbell and Ricky Campbell; daughters Crystal Campbell and Christine Campbell; grandchildren, Nicholas Campbell, Tara Fenstermacher, and Ryan Chandler Lanning and great-grandson, Jackson Fenstermacher.
Gordon was preceded in death by his parents, Risto and Rose Campbell; daughter, Catherine Campbell and his twin sister, Gloria Lee.
Services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel with Reverend Ron Powers officiating.
Cremation will follow at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
