Gerald Keith Mchenry

Gerald Keith McHenry, 86, of Cheyenne, died on Friday, January 6, 2017 at the VA Hospital.
He was born on October 21, 1930 in Bridgeport, Nebraska.
Mr. McHenry was a switchman/brakeman for UPRR from 1952-1990. He was a member of the American Legion Post 6 and VFW Post’s 1881 and 4343. He enjoyed the mountains, playing cards, and family barbeques, but most of all he enjoyed and loved his grandchildren.
He is survived by a son, LTC William McHenry, USA (Ret.) (Susie) of Cheyenne; a daughter, Dephne Garcia (Johnnie) of Cheyenne; ten grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Mr. McHenry was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce and Julia McHenry; daughter, Debra Ornelas; grandson, Brian Caleb Alonzo; brother, Bill McHenry; and three sisters, Eloise Scott, Irene Warner, and Jody Kunkel.
