Georgia M. Vigil, 81, of Cheyenne passed away Monday, August 11, 2014 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.
She was born February 22, 1933 in Wagon Mound, New Mexico and had lived here for the past 42 years. She married Raymond on November 15, 1951.
While living in New Mexico, she herded sheep a on a ranch, was a cheerleader and prom queen in high school.
Georgia was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. She always treasured time spent with family and in her earlier years, enjoyed bowling, sewing, and dancing.
Georgia is survived by her husband, Raymond Vigil, Sr.; three sons, Raymond (Veronica) Vigil, Jr., Jim (Karen) Vigil and Ronald (Ursula) Vigil; three daughters, Lorraine (Steve) Lucero, Pauline (William) Griess and Anna (Jerry) Kelso; fifteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; one brother, five sisters and their spouses.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rumaldo and Pauline Sandoval; two grandchildren, Christi and Christopher and brother, Dan Sandoval.
Vigil for the Deceased will be 6:00 p.m., Monday at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
Funeral Liturgy will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Father Tom Cronkleton as celebrant.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be given to a charity of their choice.
Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
