Georgia Anna Blomgren, 76, passed away on November 26th, 2023, of a sky diving accident. She actually lost her battle with cancer surrounded by loved ones in the Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She was born October 12, 1947, in either Scottland or Hartford, Connecticut. A family debate that goes on to this day. We do know she was adopted in Hartford, Connecticut by her parents Alma George Solomon and Dorothy E. Solomon.
Georgia was a banker at heart. She worked in banking for over 40 years, starting as a teller and worked her way up to branch manager. Her favorite positions she held in the credit unions were loans and collections because she loved being able to help people in their time of need. Georgia loved to play softball and even played on a team with her daughter Amy. She also loved fast cars and driving the strip when she was younger. She loved spending time with her two grandsons Zachary and Dominic, as they were the light of her life. Georgia loved to dance and listen to old records with her oldest grandson Zachary. If she wasn’t listening to old records with Zachary, she was helping Dominic build his Legos. She loved flowers and looked forward to every spring to plant her flowers with either of her grandsons. Georgia was very outgoing and had a laugh that could be heard from two rooms away and when you heard it you couldn’t help but smile. She had a fierce presence when she walked into a room that made people stop and look. Some would even say “oh sh*t here comes Georgia”.
Georgia was a beautiful person inside and out, and the most generous person. It was an honor to know Georgia and she will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
Georgia was preceded in death by; her parents Alma George and Dorothy E Solomon, two brothers, Robert L. Solomon and Donald E. Solomon.
Georgia is survived by, her daughter Amy (Anthony Lopez), two grandsons Zachary and Dominic, ex-husband Roger and her fur baby Milo, as well as many loving friends and extended family members.
