Gary Alan Lewis, 67 of Cheyenne Wyoming passed away peacefully on November 22, 2023. He was born November 16, 1956. Gary made many friends during the 40 years he was with Magic City and before that, as a boy, at the Cheyenne Opportunity School. He worked at many places in Cheyenne and touched many lives. He will be remembered by everyone for his cheerful laugh and long memory. If Gary met you once, you were no longer a stranger but a friend. He would shake your hand warmly and call you by name the next time he saw you out and about. He loved to cheer people up and could always be relied on to make your day better with his smile and happy personality. He loved Frontier Days, and especially liked to put on his cowboy hat, go to pancake breakfasts or walk around Frontier Park to see the sights. He was ready every year with his favorite concession order; a smoked turkey leg, a corndog, and some cotton candy. He loved to go for car rides around town with his younger brother or older sister and could always convince them that an ice cream or coffee would be the perfect end to their drive. Gay liked to joke and have fun, and was known to play tricks on his siblings, nieces, nephews and roommates. He will be missed.
Gary is survived by five brothers (Mark, John, Glen, Dan, and Jim Lewis), and one sister (Mary R White). He was preceded in death by his father and mother (Eugene and Marian Lewis), and two brothers (Rush and Paul Lewis).
Services will be held at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes, December 9, 2023, at 10am. A gathering for friends and family will be held after the service.
