Gary A. Hernandez, 53, of Cheyenne, passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at the Davis Hospice Center.
He was born on May 4, 1964 in Cheyenne, he resided here his entire life. Gary was employed as a concrete specialist. He served in the U. S. Army Reserve.
Gary was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. He enjoyed listening to music and was very artistic. Gary was known for his humor, hard work, and giving nature. He always put his family first and prided himself on taking care of others.
Survivors include his father, Joe Hernandez, of Cheyenne; a son, Gregary Hernandez of Cross, Utah; daughters, Justine, Jazmine, and Jade Phippin, all of Cheyenne, Jemini Hernandez of Cheyenne, and Bri Kitley of Colorado Springs, Colorado; brothers, Robert, Joey (Tammy), Gerald, Patrick, Derrick (Jamie Kidd), all of Cheyenne; sisters, Monica (Pete) Garcia of Colorado Springs, and Liz (Rodger Harder) Hernandez, of Cheyenne; two grandsons, Anthony Brady and Aziel Gonzalez, both of Cheyenne; brother-in-law, Ray Lewis of Cheyenne; and nieces, Danielle, Anna, Sandra, Angela, Krystina, Brianna, Ayla, Aliyana, Amiya, and Ayden.
Gary was preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Hernandez; sister, Joan Hernandez; and a brother, David Hernandez.
Vigil for the Deceased will be Thursday, 6:00 p.m., at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
Funeral Liturgy will be Friday, 10:30 a.m., at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
Interment will be in Olivet Cemetery.
