Gary Alan Gaedtke, 62, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away in his sleep Saturday, November 13. He was born September 20, 1959 in Trenton, Michigan.
Gary graduated high school at Stevens Point Area Senior High School, Stevens Point, Wisconsin, in 1977. He had a lifelong career as a hardworking and masterful chef for various restaurants in Colorado and Cheyenne, Wyoming. He spent many years living and working in Estes Park, Colorado where his daughter, Amber, was born.
Gary’s biggest passion was music. He played guitar beautifully and loved to write songs. His life was devoted to music, and he worked just as hard on perfecting his playing skills as he did in the kitchen perfecting his cooking skills. His most recent employer was Point Frontier Assisted Living Facility of Cheyenne for the past year. Gary’s generosity and caring for others was so well known to all who knew him.
Gary was preceded in death by his mother, Donna Gaedtke, from Bella Vista, Arkansas.
He is survived by his father, Jerome Gaedtke of Bella Vista, Arkansas, his daughter Amber Schaefer (Brandon) of Cheyenne. his three grandchildren, Kaleb, Kaine, Brynlee. Brothers Jake Gaedtke (Janice) of Bozeman, Montana, Steve Gaedtke (Betty) of Yellsville, Arkansas, and Tom Gaedtke (Dana) of Bonham, Texas.
His celebration of life service will be held on December 1 at 10:00, Wiederspah-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes with Reception to follow. We ask for those attending to please bring your favorite picture of Gary to be attached to a memory board.
