Gary D. Fales

Gary D. Fales, 69, of Cheyenne, WY, entered into the presence of his Savior, on Sunday, March 9th, 2025, after a very sudden but brief illness. Born March 1st, 1956, the son of Marvin & Darlene (Whelan) Fales.

Gary graduated from Torrington High School in 1974. He began working alongside his dad as an avid sheep shearer. In 1979 Gary married the love of his life Kathy (Schmidt) and to their union followed three daughters.

In 1991 Gary completed Power Plant Trade School in Bismark, ND. He then began his 25 years of service at the Missouri Basin Power Project in Wheatland, WY. Retiring to Cheyenne, WY in 2018 Gary traded in his years of hard work for years of fishing & travel. In 2023 Gary & Kathy took the “Trip of a Lifetime” to the Holy Land in Isreal. Gary enjoyed every moment spent retracing the life & history of Jesus.

He is survived by his dad Marvin Fales; Wife, Kathy Fales; Daughters: Trisha (Tony) Price – Jack & Jennie, Linsay (Kyle) Jobes - Haiden & Kolten, Jamie (Trevor) Douglas – Grant & Avery; Brother: Darvin (Kathy) Fales; Sister-In-Law: Nancy Murphy; Brother-In-Law: Greg (Kim) Schmidt; and many nieces & nephews.

He is preceded in death by his mother Darlene Fales; In-Laws Ralph & Jurene Schmidt; and Brother-In-Law Wayne Murphy.

Funeral to be held Friday, March 21st at 1:00pm at North Christian Church, Cheyenne, WY.

Internment to be held Monday, March 24th at 10:00am at Valley View Cemetery, Torrington, WY.
