Fred J. Rayment, Jr., 87, of Cheyenne, died on Tuesday, January 27, 2015.
He was born on July 25, 1927 in Kearney, Nebraska and had lived here since 1965.
Mr. Rayment served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was stationed at Pearl Harbor. He retired as a field representative from the General Motors parts division AC Delco.
He was a member of First Christian Church, American Legion Post 6, V.F.W. Post 1881, Kiwanis, Airport Golf Club, and the Cowboy Joe Club. Fred was an avid University of Wyoming fan and had attended football games for over 35 years. He also enjoyed golf and traveling, having visited all 50 states.
Mr. Rayment is survived by a son, Jeff Rayment (Joanie) of Cheyenne; a daughter, Diana Hixenbaugh (Ken) of Cheyenne; a brother, Larry Rayment (Margaret) of Castle Rock, Colorado; and two grandchildren, Dustin and Kelsey Hixenbaugh.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara on July 21, 1999; his parents, Fred and Valma (Johnson) Rayment; and a sister, Shirley Williams.
Life Commemoration services will be Friday, February 6, 11:00 a.m., at First Christian Church.
