Faye Wilson, 87, of Cheyenne died at her home on September 5, 2015.
She was born June 14, 1928 in Lebanon, MO. Faye graduated from Lebanon High School in 1946. Her first employment was with Laclede County Health Department in Lebanon where she worked as a secretary until moving to Springfield, MO. She married Roy Wilson on Nov. 2, 1947. Faye and Roy moved to Cheyenne in 1949; both transferring with their jobs. Faye worked for Universal CIT Credit Corp, Warren Air Force Base, and Laramie County School District #1 as a secretary.
She was a long time member of First United Methodist Church. Her passion was gardening. She grew beautiful roses and enjoyed arranging them in rose bowls and delivering them to nursing homes and friends.
Faye is survived by her son, Bruce (Stephanie) Wilson of Cheyenne, grandson Brian (Leslie) Wilson of Cheyenne, grandson Curtis (Chelse) Wilson of Millington, TN, two great-granddaughters Taylor Wilson and Reagan Wilson, two great-grandsons Curtis Wilson, Jr. and Conner Wilson, one special cousin Linda (Keith) Lewis of Lebanon, MO, as well as three other cousins and a very special friend, Lester Boggs, of Everett, WA.
She had amazing caregivers who were our “Dream Team” and we’d like to thank them: Loretta, Carole, and Debbie.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard Hough and Gertrude Hartin; husband, Roy Wilson and only sibling, James Hough.
Memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 10th at 10 a.m. at First United Methodist Church with a reception to follow in Allison Hall. Graveside service will commence at 12:30 p.m. at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens. Friends who wish may contribute to Davis Hospice Center or the Montessori School of Cheyenne new building fund.
