Eva was called home by the Lord on Sunday, January 12, 2020. It had been a long hard road and she was ready for the pain to end. Her battle was finally over. Eva was a warrior. She smiled and laughed to the very end.
She is survived by two daughters, Twyla (Joseph) Romero of Cheyenne, WY and Tonya (Nicole) Martinez of Greeley CO; five grandchildren Pablo (Ashley) of Torrington WY, Elisia (Levi) of Goldsboro NC, Isaiah and Santino of Cheyenne WY and Averiana of Greeley CO; Two great grandchildren Sean and Luke; two siblings Twila and Jr both of Denver CO; two half-sisters Darlene and Sherlinda.
Eva was born on January 20, 1949 to Louis and Ethel Marshall of Rosebud, SD where she grew up with two brothers, a sister, five half-brothers and two half-sisters.
In 1963, she and her family moved to Denver Colorado where she attended high school. Eventually went on to be a C.N.A. Not long after she met the love of her life Sonny. The two were married on May 5, 1970.
She gave birth to three daughters; Eva Lee was born in 1969, Twyla in 1982, and Tonya in 1986. She put her all into her family and always worked so hard. She wanted nothing but the best for her girls.
In 1992 the family moved to Salt Lake City Utah with her oldest daughter following the birth of her first grandson.
As time went on Eva and Sonny wanted to settle down from the city and moved to Torrington WY and eventually Cheyenne WY. This brought her closer to her two girls Twyla and Tonya after the unexpected passing of her oldest daughter Eva Lee in 2004. Around that time her health began to decline slowly.
Although Eva spent the last few months of her life in a hospital in Colorado, she had her family and friends at her bedside cheering her on until her fight was over. It was time to take her home. She passed away peacefully and comfortably in her own bed surrounded by her closest loved ones.
She is preceded in death by her husband Sonny, daughter Eva Lee, parents Louis and Ethel, two grandsons Antonio and Christopher, and six brothers.
The viewing for Eva will be held on Thursday January 23, 2020 from 4pm to 7pm at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel, 1900 East 19th Street, Cheyenne WY.
Service is scheduled for Friday, January 24, 2020 at 10am at the Church of the Holy Trinity, 1808 Hot Springs Avenue, Cheyenne WY.
