Ethel Lucille (Lucy) Twitchell Roush passed away April 1, 2015 at the Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne surrounded by her family. Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel is in charge of the cremation.
She was born March 16, 1923 in Ogden, UT to Agnes Ethel and Earl Henry Davidson. Lucy moved to Cheyenne in 1959 with five of her children. She was a homemaker who was involved with Easter Star, Daughters of the Nile and had served as a Guardian with Job Daughters. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, and needlework. She and Don enjoyed camping and fishing until his death in 1983. There are many afghans in the homes of family and friends that she made with loving care. In her later years, did her needlework watching sports on television.
Lucy was born in Ogden, but had roots in the Cheyenne area. She was the granddaughter of the first white native girl born in Cheyenne and her grandfather, Hiram Davidson, was the fiddler on the original Dazee Bristol float in the Cheyenne Frontier Days celebration.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands Jasper K. Twitchell and Donald S. Roush, a daughter, Carolee Warren, son Manford Twitchell, and step-daughter Helen Kinnaman, three brothers and a sister.
Survived by Mary T. Parsons, Suanna (Jim) Rogers, Jack K. (Audrey), Thomas M. (Laura), grandchildren, Rich Naglich, Deanna Kortum, Gary Twitchell, Anna Pickel, Gabrielle Scharp, Samuel Twitchell, Sarah Franzoy, Trey Scharp, Laural Davies, Hannah Bomar, Jesse Twitchell, Jacob Twitchell, great-grandchildren, Ryan Naglich, Robert Kortum, Rebecca Kortum, Zane Pickel, Matthew Scharp, Jasper Scharp, Christian P. Rogers, Lucila Scharp, Acacia Davies, Cooper Davies, Sage Davies, great-great grandchild, Natalia Kortum, and many nieces and nephews in the Ogden area.
