Erwin (Jimmy) L. Warden, 80, of Cheyenne, passed away October 17, 2021, at Davis Hospice Center.
He was born and raised in the sandhills of Nebraska. At an early age, he developed a love of airplanes and flying. Erwin entered his military career in the Air Force and served active duty for 7 years. He worked for United Airlines for a period and continued his career into the Wyoming Air National Guard in avionics until his retirement in 1996.
Besides his love of flying, he enjoyed fishing, tinkering in his garage, and on vehicles including working on a vintage Volkswagen dune buggy. Jimmy enjoyed coffee time with his Air National Guard buddies.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents and the love of his life, Marsha, who passed in 2016. Jimmy and Marsha shared a passion for their beloved Yorkie dogs, Fifi Anne and Teddy. He is survived by his Yorkie buddy, Fritzi, military friends, neighbors, and many cousins.
Graveside services and burial for Jimmy and Marsha will be in the Cheyenne National Cemetery on October 25, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. Friends, family, and especially all of Jimmy’s military and Guard friends are invited to attend.
