Erasmo R. "Eddie" Castillo, 88, of Cheyenne, died Thursday, March 23rd at his home.
He was born December 12, 1928 in San Angelo, Texas, a son to Jose Castillo and Andrea Rodriquez. He attended schools in Texas before enlisting in the U.S. Air Force. Erasmo met and married Cecilia Jaramillo while in Greeley, Colorado and they moved to Cheyenne in the early 1950’s. He worked for the City of Cheyenne for 35 years.
Erasmo was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. He enjoyed playing pool at the Senior Center and playing his accordion.
Survivors include a son, Richard Castillo of Cheyenne; three daughters, Aunita Kamai of Cheyenne; Josey Romero of Cheyenne; Andrea (James) Martinez of Las Vegas, Nevada; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; numerous step-brothers and sisters in San Angelo, Texas and three aunts, Josephine Sanchez, Cruz Castillo and Irene Rodriguez, all of San Angelo.
He was preceded in death by his wife Cecilia; father, Jose Castillo; mother and step-father, Andrea (Cruz) Flores; five children; and two grandchildren, Jamie Kamai and Katherine Romero.
Vigil for the deceased will be Wednesday, March 29th at 6:00 p.m. at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel. Funeral Liturgy will be Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Olivet Cemetery.
