Emma Jane Fosdick, 86, of Cheyenne, died Wednesday, March 9, 2016 in Cheyenne.
She was born September 6, 1929 in Lankin, North Dakota and had lived in Cheyenne since 1969.
Mrs. Fosdick retired as a fiscal officer for the State of Wyoming Department of Commerce in 1994 after 22 years. She was also Co-Owner of Roller City with her husband (Sarge) for 25 years. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, American Business Women of America, Take Off Pounds Sensibly, Red Hat Society, High Plains Wanderers, American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Post 4343 Auxiliary, Positive Living Motivators, Friendship Force, State museum volunteers, and State Employee Retirees Group. She also registered therapy dogs.
Emma is survived by her husband, Gaylord Fosdick, married on November 9, 1951 in North Dakota; her children, Sandra Bordner (Jan) of Westminster, Colorado, Greg Fosdick (Mardy) of Cheyenne, Candis Crawford (Sam) of Cheyenne, Frances Fosdick of Chandler, Arizona, and Paula Marsh (Scott) of Cheyenne; a brother, Lester Lee of North Dakota; three sisters, June Peterson of Colorado, Ellen Severson of North Dakota, and Elaine Finger of California; grandchildren; Samuel (Kory), Kevin (Sheree), and Joshua (Veronica) Crawford, Jason (Erika) and Heather Bordner, Kelsey and Keaton Marsh and twelve great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Mabel Lee; a brother, Harold Lee; and a sister, Esther Brown.
Memorial services will be Monday, 11:00 a.m., at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens under the direction of Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
